A Radiographic Building, in support of the Navy Ordnance Test and Evaluation Division. In addition to the building, site improvements include pads for fire pump housing, CO2 storage and conditioning pad, hazardous waste storage, and central chiller; ammunitions storage magazines; access road; parking and laydown area; surrounding pedestrian access. Alila Marea Beach Resort

Encinitas, CA

130 guest room luxury hotel located on the ocean bluff in Encinitas. Along with the hotel and subterranean parking, the site improvements included front entry driveway and drop-off, vehicular access and maintenance road, pedestrian access and other site amenities associated with hotel use. Site utilities included public and private water, sewer and storm drain.

Lemoore F-35 Hangar (P-391 & P-284)

A two-module F-35 hanger and associated airfield development built in two phases (P-284 and P-391). In addition to the hangars, associated improvements included airfield paving and striping, expanded POV parking; operational storage building; wash rack control building; water storage tank; pedestrian pathways; storm water retention basins; utilities including force main sewer, gravity sewer, industrial waste, domestic water, fire service, gas, and storm drain.

Ormat East Mesa Geothermal Plant

Ormat has multiple geothermal facilities located in the Imperial Valley. The plants produce renewable energy that is distributed to the Imperial Irrigation District. Hale Engineering has been providing on-going civil engineering and surveying services for Ormat for over 15 years. We have been involved with many of their projects throughout the Imperial Valley.

Mount Signal Solar

The Mount Signal Solar Project is located near Calexico, Imperial Valley. This 200 megawatt solar farm is a large, utility scale project that transmits power to SDG&E’s “Sunrise Powerlink”. The PV solar field covers approximately 1940 acres, which includes it’s own substation and 4.5 miles of transmission line.

IVSC1 Solar Generation Field

The IVSC 1 Solar Project is located in the Townsite of Niland, Imperial Valley. This 23 megawatt solar photovoltaic energy generation project encompasses approximately 123 acres and incorporates fixed-tilt PV technology. Construction was completed in 2012, at which time began the delivery of renewable energy to the Imperial Irrigation District.

Aircraft Maintenance Hangers P-545 North & South

MCAS, Yuma, AZ

The P-545 Aircraft Maintenance Hangers are located on the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, in Yuma, Arizona. P-545 is a design-build project consisting of two Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) compliant aircraft maintenance hangars, along with aircraft parking aprons, taxiways, privately owned vehicle (POV) parking lot, and associated infrastructure. The Hangers are scheduled for delivery this year.

Child Development Center P-601

Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA

Construction was completed on the De Luz Child Development Center (CDC) P-601 in 2011. The design-build project, located in Headquarters 12 Area, included a preschool building constructed around a central piazza , 4 playgrounds, and numerous educational amenities. The preschool employs a Reggio Emilia based curriculum. This approach considers the environment to be the “third teacher”. A top priority throughout the project design was to plan a stimulating learning environment in accordance with the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

Recruit Barracks, School of Infantry

Construction was completed on the School of Infantry in 2013. The design-build project, on MCB Camp Pendleton, consisted of a 4 story building, a 3 story parking structure, water reservoir improvements, and a solar field. This is a LEED Gold project with sustainable architectural and energy efficient features, storm water sustainability, an array of concentrated photovoltaic sun tracking solar power, geothermal well field heating and cooling, and other state of the art design features.

Ridgeline Trailhead

Construction was completed on the Ridgeline Trailhead (San Elijo Equestrian Staging Area) project during the summer of 2010. This project is located in San Marcos off of Twin Oaks Valley Road. It provides a “launching point” for hiking, biking and equestrian use of the trail system. The staging area provides parking with a restroom facility.

Construction was completed on the Bachelor’s Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) Bid Pack # 5 project in 2012. The design-build project consisted of three BEQ campuses located in Del Mar 21 Area, Headquarters 14 Area, and Chappo 22 Area. In total, 5 BEQ buildings, 5 recreational facilities, numerous amenities, and the associated improvements were constructed across the 3 sites.

The 23-mile segment of concrete lined canal, constructed adjacent to the existing All American Canal, is located in the desert near Winterhaven, Imperial Valley. The Imperial Irrigation District was the lead agency on this significant water conservation project, which was completed in 2010.

Twin Oaks Valley Road

This segment of Twin Oaks Valley Road is located just south of CSU San Marcos. It provides the prime arterial roadway link the San Elijo Hills master planned community. The 4,300 linear feet of grading and improvements was constructed through challenging terrain and geological conditions, including multiple environmental constraints.

In Orange County, the ranch community of Rancho Mission Viejo will ultimately include approximately 6,000 acres of multiple villages composed of residential and mixed-use development. In 2011, to meet the anticipated demand of the new community SDG&E installed the Rancho Mission Viejo Substation.
