IVSC1 Solar Generation Field

Niland, Imperial County, CA

The IVSC 1 Solar Project is located in the Townsite of Niland, Imperial Valley. This 23 megawatt
solar photovoltaic energy generation project encompasses approximately 123 acres and incorporates
fixed-tilt PV technology. Construction was completed in 2012, at which time began the delivery of
renewable energy to the Imperial Irrigation District.

Hale Engineering provided civil engineering and surveying services including topographic surveys
and base mapping, A.L.T.A. Survey, grading plans, street improvement plans, erosion control plans,
terrain modeling and earthwork calculations, quantity estimates, hydrologic/hydraulic calculations,
storm water retention design, and drainage report, project processing and coordination, Water Pollution
Quality Technical Report (WQTR), Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and QSD/P services.

Mount Signal Solar

Calexico, Imperial County, CA

The Mount Signal Solar Project is located near Calexico, Imperial Valley. This 200 megawatt solar farm
is a large, utility scale project that transmits power to SDG&E’s “Sunrise Powerlink”. The PV solar field
covers approximately 1940 acres, which includes it’s own substation and 4.5 miles of transmission line.

Hale Engineering provided civil engineering and surveying services including topographic surveys and
base mapping, A.L.T.A. Survey, Record of Survey, transmission line surveys, substation grading plans,
erosion control plans, terrain modeling and earthwork calculations, quantity estimates, hydrologic/hydraulic
calculations, storm water retention design, drainage report, construction staking and layout, field verifications,
project permitting, processing and coordination.

Ormat East Mesa Geothermal Plant

Imperial County, CA

Ormat has multiple geothermal facilities located in the Imperial Valley. The plants produce renewable
energy that is distributed to the Imperial Irrigation District. Hale Engineering has been providing on-going
civil engineering and surveying services for Ormat for over 15 years. We have been involved with many
of their projects throughout the Imperial Valley.
