Twin Oaks Valley Road

San Marcos, San Diego County, CA

This segment of Twin Oaks Valley Road is located just south of CSU San Marcos. It provides the
prime arterial roadway link the San Elijo Hills master planned community. The 4,300 linear feet of
grading and improvements was constructed through challenging terrain and geological conditions,
including multiple environmental constraints.

Hale Engineering provided civil engineering and surveying services including right-of-way mapping,
street alignment horizontal/vertical, rough grading plans, street, sewer, water and storm drain
improvement plans, striping and signage plans, traffic control plans, erosion control plans,
topographic surveys, legal descriptions and plats, terrain modeling and earthwork calculations,
closure calculations and reports, quantity and cost estimates, hydrologic/hydraulic calculations
and drainage study, construction staking and layout, construction observation, Water Quality
Technical Report (WQTR), Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and record drawings.

The North County Transit parking lot is located in the City of Encinitas along Vulcan Avenue. It
provides convenient and efficient commuter parking for the Transit Station at ‘E’ Street.

parking lot and surface improvement plans, striping and signage plans, retaining wall profiles, traffic
control plans, traffic signal plans, erosion control plans, terrain modeling and earthwork calculations,

Salton Sea Interconnection Project

Niland, Imperial County, CA

The Salton Sea Interconnection Project (SSIP) is 230kV transmission line located in Imperial Valley.
The total length is approximately 8 miles and is an integral part of the Imperial Irrigation District’s
infrastructure for renewable energy.

Hale Engineering provided surveying services for the IID on both Phase 1 and Phase 2, including
boundary and topographic surveys, base mapping, Record of Survey, Right-of-Way drawings, legal
descriptions and plats, closure calculations and reports, construction staking and layout.

Winterhaven, Imperial County, CA

The 23-mile segment of concrete lined canal, constructed adjacent to the existing All American Canal,
is located in the desert near Winterhaven, Imperial Valley. The Imperial Irrigation District was the lead
agency on this significant water conservation project, which was completed in 2010.

Hale Engineering provided surveying services related to project Quality Assurance/ Quality Control,
including consultation, topographic surveys and base mapping, terrain modeling and earthwork
calculations, quantity estimates and field verifications.
